The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central
and Western Virginia grants the wishes of children with
life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with
hope, strength and joy.
We grant the wishes of children
throughout the greater part of Virginia, with the exception of
the Tidewater area, Eastern Shore and the D.C. suburbs of
Northern Virginia.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of
Central and Western Virginia is one of 69 chapters that make
up the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America. While the
organization nationally was founded in 1980, our chapter was
not founded until August, 1987. In the past nineteen
years, we have granted over 1800 wishes and will grant our
2000th during our 20th year celebration.
